Rise India

How hard is to desert a place to which one knows that he can never return. Such nostalgic melancholies are the most rewarding things about travelling. Tourists might articulate India as the land of bumpy rickshaw rides to the zenith Zen gardens for meditation in Andaman; a walk in the clouds of Sikkim to the witnessing the majestic - Rath-Yatra of Puri; strolling in the precarious dark streets of Bihar and marching in the place to feel patriotic –Wagah Border; and   relishing the “kebabs” of Lucknow and hallucinating on the aroma of Darjeeling tea. The Country which affirms “unity in diversity” is diffused into several unitary states and capitals. But there is an essential unity of outlook, which one can notice from north to south and east to west.

Indian society has progressed by a synthesis of the emerging contradictions. This incorporates several Indian traditions. Every year millions of tourists from every corner of the globe fly to India, to witness the virgin innate beauty, magnificent forts and palaces which have stories embedded in their scriptures; to witnesses India’s rural life and breathe the enchanting scent of its lifestyle. The “Golden Bird” spreads it wings from agriculture in the west to literature in the east. The excursionist savors himself with the spices of Kerala and delights in the jaunt of “Shikaras” in the extreme north.

Much acclaimed for its culture and natural beauty India also is trying its hands at technology, science and innovation and gracefully adapting itself to the western culture.  Though, business or economy in India blossomed with the trade of spices and tourism but the journey of India to one of the largest economies in the world took a novel endeavor of turning our art and craft and positives into employment. Progress always involves risk and initiative; you can't steal second base and keep your foot on first. So Indians risked their time and energy in various enterprises, inventing newer and ingenious ways of getting in the top of the world’s pedestal.

India is renowned for its natural pharmacy. The much heard “Dadi ke Nushkhe” of homemade or Ayurvedic medicines, which brought the health of the family back without any side effects is now developed into full fledged medical industry. Ayurveda has fascinated the other countrymen for a very long time. The practices like yoga, Ayurvedic massage, and homeopathy appealed the tourists and they started adopting the methods.  Such kind of treatment provided them a mental and physical well being and adjoined them with nature at a very low cost.

Such anonymous practices are now defined as medical tourism, which is basically sharing and exercising the ingenious secrets of medicines. India is fast emerging as the most sought-after health tourism destination globally, both because of the quality of medical care available at the stunningly lover costs. Private investment money has been pouring in to set up five- star facilities offering world class treatment.

Medical tourism in India is basically an eccentric combined effort of the tourism industry with private medical care. This tourist delight is now a big influx of medical tourism. The kind of tourism which avails you with the serenity of India while keeping your health and well being in mind.  Many patients from affluent nations come to India for the rejuvenation promised by yoga and ayurvedic massage. Vinay Rai, founder of Rai Foundation, in his book Think India, mentions that India is targeted for the medical care by tourists because of its First world treatment at third world costs. A combination of three key factors –quality, availability and cost has been the key factors in fostering the growth witnessed in Indian medical tourism. 60% of doctors in India’s leading hospitals have international qualifications, thus increasing the comfort levels among international patients.

According to CII (confederation of Indian industries) India has the potential to promote medical tourism by attracting one million tourists per annum, as it offers holistic medical services with meditation, Ayurveda, allopathy and other system of medicines.

Such endeavors have somehow veiled the Indian spiritual and natural aspect. Influenced with the western way of material lifestyle, Indian culture and values are ebbing into an unfathomable abyss. The question persists that “Are we in the process of making India a black image of the west?  Is this really India? THINK INDIA!
